MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – James Madison baseball dropped a 13-1 decision to a tough St. John's team at TicketReturn.com Field on Saturday.
St. John's pitching limited JMU to one run on six hits, led by starter Michael LoPresti who struck out seven Dukes while scattering four hits across five innings to earn the win.
Colton Harlow took the loss for the Dukes after allowing nine runs, four of which were unearned, in four and two thirds innings.
Junior outfielder
Adam Sisk tied the game at 1-1 in the second inning by crushing a home run well over the left field fence, the sixth homer of his career. Sisk was the only Duke with multiple hits, going 2-for-4.
The Dukes (1-1) and Red Storm (2-0) were tied through three and a half innings, but St. John's scored five runs on five hits and four errors in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 6-1 lead that it would not relinquish.

"If you don't pitch and play defense, you're not going to win baseball games. We didn't do those things today and we're going to have to be better to beat Coastal."
