SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Four home runs from four different players powered James Madison baseball to a 5-1 win over Wofford at Russell C. King Field on Friday night.
With their third win in a row, the Dukes improved to 4-1 on the season while the Terriers fell to 1-4.
Redshirt junior second baseman
Josh Wyatt sparked the Dukes' offense with a solo shot over the left field fence in the second inning. In the next inning, juniors

Kyle McPherson and redshirt senior
Brett Johnson all went yard to put the Dukes up 4-0. All four home runs were to left field and the first of the season for each player.

Senior right-handed pitcher
Brandon Withers earned his second win in as many starts, throwing a career-high 10 strikeouts across five and two thirds innings with just one earned run on four hits and two walks. Adam Scott took the loss for the Terriers to fall to 0-2 despite 12 strikeouts.
Junior right-handed pitcher
Matt Colon was effective out of the bullpen, throwing two and one third innings of scoreless relief, allowing just one hit and striking out three batters. Senior left-handed pitcher
Michael Evans pitched a scoreless ninth inning with one walk and three strikeouts.
Junior third baseman
Bradley McKay added an insurance run in the ninth inning, singling up the middle to score freshman pinch runner
DaVonn Griffin. The run scored was the first of Griffin's career.
FOUR SCORE
The Dukes hit four home runs in a game for the first time since March 28, 2015, when JMU lost to College of Charleston 10-6.
