HARRISONBURG, Va. - Delaware scored the final eight points of the game on Saturday evening, clipping James Madison on a fallaway jumper from the baseline to hand the Dukes a 61-60 loss in Colonial Athletic Association men's basketball action at the JMU Convocation Center.
The Dukes (4-15, 0-6 CAA) stymied the Delaware (11-8, 4-2 CAA) offense, which entered the contest averaging 74.1ppg, throughout the evening, as they held the Blue Hens to just 21-of-57 (36.8 percent) shooting and 2-of-14 shooting from behind the arc.
However, Delaware hit four of its final six shots while JMU missed all six of its own as the Blue Hens snatched the win on Ryan Daly's jumper from the left baseline with 14.6 seconds to play. The Dukes had a similar look from the right baseline to win in the closing seconds, but the shot caught the back of the iron to close JMU's hopes.

QUOTING COACH ROWE
"That's a really good defensive team that stood us up and made things ugly a little bit, but I like where our defense has been the last two games. We're going to get over the hump here and there's a lot of faith in our locker room. This is a tough team and I'm proud of them."
