HARRISONBURG, Va. - In its final Colonial Athletic Association men's soccer match of the regular season, No. 25 James Madison was edged by Elon, 1-0, on senior night. The Dukes fell to 11-4-2 overall and 6-2 in the CAA, while the Phoenix finished its season at 5-8-2 and 2-5-1.

39' | Senior midfielder Jack Willbye scored the game-winning goal on a free kick from the keeper's right side, striking off the far post and in.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
JMU outshot Elon 10-7, but the Phoenix were more accurate with five shots on frame. Redshirt sophomore TJ Bush tallied four saves in the net, marking the most he's made since playing William & Mary on October 10. Between the teams, 40 fouls were called and five yellow cards were given.

We are disappointed we couldn't get a win for them on senior night, but our focus now has to be preparing for the CAA tournament."

UP NEXT
The Dukes have clinched a top-two seed in the CAA tournament, but the bracket won't be set until the final conference match on Tuesday. With a one or a two seed, JMU secures a bye in the quarterfinals and will play in the semifinals on Friday, November 9.
