HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Dukes struggled coming out the gate with the Blue Hens beginning the first set on a 5-1 run. The teams traded points, making no significant strides, but JMU was able to hold on to a slender advantage. Though they were held to match point for four rallies, the Dukes came out of set one victorious.
- The second set was more of the back-and-forth play that was seen in the first until a Gail kill began a 5-1 run for the Dukes. The Blue Hens stayed close behind but couldn't recover.
- JMU jumped out to a quick lead after many errors from Delaware. Though the Blue Hens managed to gain points every so often, they couldn't overcome the Dukes' lead and were stifled.
