James Madison opens its 2018-2019 Colonial Athletic Association schedule against the Tribe of William & Mary on Friday, Dec. 28 in Williamsburg, Va. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. in Kaplan Arena.
The Dukes dropped a 75-48 decision in their non-conference finale against Fordham on Thursday, Dec. 20. Redshirt senior Stuckey Mosley tallied a game-high 13 points, shooting 4-7 from the floor while knocking down a pair of threes.
Mosley leads the Dukes' offensive efforts, averaging 16.8 points per contest while making at least one three-pointer in each game this season.
JMU leads the all-time series over the Tribe with a record of 50-46 despite the Dukes dropping both contests to William & Mary in the 2017-18 season.
William & Mary was picked fourth in the preseason CAA poll while juniors Nathan Knight and Justin Pierce were Preseason All-CAA Second Team selections.
The Tribe are coming off a 72-40 loss to Virginia on Saturday, Dec. 22 in Charlottesville, Va. In the loss, Knight had a game-high 22 points and five boards.
Three Tribe players are averaging double-digit scoring leading up to conference action: Knight (19.3), Pierce (16.1) and redshirt junior Matt Million (11.1). Pierce leads the team in rebounding and assists, averaging 9.6 and 3.2 respectively.
