KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – James Madison saw four players tally three hits and 10 players record at least one RBI en route to a 21-2 victory over Tennessee in non-conference baseball action at Lindsey Nelson Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The Dukes (8-5) scored at least two runs in six of the nine innings and limited the Volunteers (8-6) to just two runs in the seventh.

Sophomore
Kevin Kelly earned the win on the night (1-1), keeping the Vols hitless until the fourth inning with two outs. Kelly delivered a career-high 6.2 innings with five strikeouts, matching his season high, and gave up two runs on four hits.

Freshman
Josh Jones tallied career highs in hits (3), runs scored (3) and RBI (2) while fellow freshman
Conor Hartigan also recorded career highs in hits (3), runs scored (3) and added a career-high tying one RBI. Sophomore
Matt Dipasupil racked up three hits and two RBI, both career highs, along with a run scored and a walk.

Senior
Adam Sisk leads the team with his fifth multi-hit game and his second four-hit game of the season as he went 4-for-5 at the plate with four runs scored, tying his career high, alongside five RBI, a walk, a triple and a double.

The Dukes stormed out to a quick 5-0 lead after the first two innings of play, with four runs being scored with two outs in the respective inning. JMU added a run in the fourth before scoring 13 runs over the last four innings on 13 hits. Tennessee scored both of its runs off a two-RBI double by sophomore Pete Derkay in the seventh.

James Madison's 21 runs are the most in a game since the Dukes posted 20 against NJIT on March 17, 2017. The last time the Dukes posted 20 or more hits was against UNC Asheville on Feb. 25, 2017.
