After the Pride pulled into a three-run lead in the top of the sixth, a long ball to center field from sophomore Kate Gordon tied the game at 6-6, forcing extra innings. Sophomore Madison Naujokas hit another Dukes bomb in the bottom of the fourth,to give JMU a two-run lead.
Â
JMU opened the scoreboard after a Roadcap double in the bottom of the first ran freshman Sara Jubas home. Senior Jessica Mrozek later singled to second base, driving two more runners home to give the Dukes a 3-0 advantage at the conclusion of the first.
Â
Jubas went 3-for-5 at bat, turning in three runs on three hits, tying her career highs in both categories, and adding an RBI, as well as drawing a walk.
Â
Hofstra found its only lead of the game after scoring four runs in the top of the sixth, holding said lead until Gordon's homer in the bottom of the seventh tied the game.

HIGHLIGHTS
QUOTING COACH LAPORTE
"Coming into today, we knew that this was going to be a win that we were going to have to fight for and these girls fought hard. This was a win that we needed as we head into our last regular season series next week. I'm extremely proud of Odicci throwing the entire 10 innings, she really worked through some tough moments to keep us in the game. Kierstin also came in clutch when we needed it most. Â I'm happy we could send the seniors away with a home win."
