- James Madison welcomes Northeastern for a Sunday afternoon Colonial Athletic Association contest. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. in the Convocation Center.
- Led by junior Kamiah Smalls who had a game-high 22 points, the Dukes defeated the Hofstra Pride 77-54 on Friday night. Redshirt juniors Kayla Cooper Williams and Jackie Benitez had double-digit nights as Cooper-Williams grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds while Benitez tallied 10 points.
- JMU dominated in the second quarter, limiting the Pride to only five points. This marks the 17th time this season the Dukes have held their opponents to scoring under 10 points in a frame.
- The Dukes are one of two teams who have started conference action 3-0 (Towson).
- JMU is 22-1 when playing the Huskies and is 11-0 when playing at home. The Dukes won both games against Northeastern in the 2017-2018 season.
- Despite the Huskies out-rebounding the Tigers (48-34) and scoring 31 points in the fourth quarter, Northeastern fell to Towson 88-83 on the road. Senior guard Jess Genco led the Huskies with 28 points, eight boards and four assists while playing in all 40 minutes of action. Two other Huskies finished the night in double-digit scoring: junior Shannon Todd (19) and sophomore Stella Clark (17).
- Genco leads the league shooting 91-percent from the charity stripe, averages 3.2 three-pointers per game and is second in the CAA with 19.8 points per contest.
