CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – James Madison competed in the fourth and fifth round of singles at the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships, held at the Snyder Tennis Center, Dell Courts, and Boar's Head Sports Club.
Senior
Paul Mendoza opened Saturday with a victory over the no. 9 seed in the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships. He defeated Lleyton Cronje of VCU, 6-3, 6-4. Mendoza moved on to the Round of 16, facing Virginia's Ammar Alhaqbani. Mendoza fell to Alhaqbani, 6-1, 6-3.
Junior
Alvaro Arce dropped to the seventh seed, William & Mary's Joseph Brailovsky, 6-2, 6-1.
