HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison field hockey dropped a Colonial Athletic Association contest 3-1 to Northeastern on Friday night. Â

Northeastern (9-5, 2-1) came out strong to start the contest outshooting JMU 5-2 in the opening frame. The Huskies scored three minutes into the frame to take the early lead. James Madison (6-9, 2-2) turned on the jets in the second quarter outshooting the Huskies 7-1 in the frame.

Rachel Yeager scored the equalizer following a corner.
Megan Guzzardi took the shot that Yeager tipped it in for the tie.

The Huskies scored twice in the third period to jump ahead of JMU. The Dukes were unable to regain control and fell 3-1 against Northeastern. Â
