New Market, Va. – On a chilly, sunny morning the James Madison cross country team toed the Colonial Athletic Association course and came away with a fourth-place finish as a team. The whole team finished within 90 seconds of each other.

Elon took home the championship with 41 points. Delaware came in second with 62, while Williams & Mary rounded out the top three with 68 points. JMU finished fourth with 127 and beat out Towson (132), Northeastern (142), Charleston (162), Hofstra (218) and UNCW (242).

Brooke Manion was sitting in 33rd place after the first mile. The junior pushed through and moved up 15 spots throughout the remainder of the race. She raced past eight people following the third-mile marker to come in 18th.Â

- Seven of the JMU student-athletes recorded personal-best marks in the race
- Manion, Connelly, Keady, Watkins, Bollinger and Cantrell all hit personal-best marks in the 6K
- Hudak was .2 off of her personal best mark in the race
- The whole team finished within 90 seconds of each other.
