Ferriol, Judge, Casero Earn All-Atlantic Region Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On Monday afternoon the United Soccer Coaches announced the 2019 All-Atlantic Region Teams. Two Dukes were pegged on the first-team, while one was placed on the second team.
Manuel Ferriol collected first-team honors after a record-breaking season in the midfield. Ferriol notched a single-season record 16 goals for the Dukes, adding six assists and collecting 38 points for another single-season record.
Tom Judge was named to the first-team alongside of Ferriol, anchoring the JMU backline. The Dukes produced a 11-7-3 record this season, posting eight shutouts, including a 1-0 victory over No. 1 Wake Forest and a double overtime victory against UNCW in the CAA Title match.
Fernando Casero was named to the second-team All-Atlantic region, after appearing in 18 matches for the Dukes this season. Casero tallied 1201 minutes on the pitch and was a key part to the midfield's success. A leader on and off the field, Casero was one of two captains for JMU this season.
