MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – James Madison was unable to slow down hot-shooting West Virginia, as it fell 85-54 in non-conference women's basketball action inside of WVU Coliseum on Sunday night.
The Dukes (4-2) could not find an offensive rhythm as the team shot a season-low 30.6 percent (22-of-72) from the field while the Mountaineers (5-1) shot a blistering 47.6 percent (30-of-63) including 60 percent (6-of-10) from distance.

Peyton McDaniel nearly secured a double double with 14 points and a team-high eight rebounds to go along with a season- and game-high four steals and one assist. Junior
Brianna Tinsley also posted 14 points, her season high with a pair of assists and two rebounds.
How It Happened
The Dukes stuck with the Mountaineers early in the quarter staying within three points all the way until the media timeout (10-7, 4:34). After the media break, JMU was unable to continue their groove and trailed 24-13 after one.
Shooting struggles continued for the Dukes as the team shot 25 percent (5-of-20) in the second quarter while West Virginia stayed hot hitting 58.8 percent (10-of-17) of their shots including knocking down three three-pointers to take a 50-24 lead into half.
JMU tried to post a couple of runs in the second half but the Mountaineers answered every punch from the Dukes, handing JMU an 85-54 loss.
