JMU Rolls Out 2021 Lacrosse Schedule

HARRISONBURG, Va. – Head Coach Shelley Klaes unveiled the 2021 schedule for the James Madison lacrosse program, featuring 13 regular-season games. The Dukes will play seven at home and also have six conference games in a modified league slate.

Additionally, each non-conference game and all but two Colonial Athletic Association matchups are against South region opponents.
"I am excited to present this schedule," Klaes said. "We have worked hard to find quality opponents within our region. We are so hungry for any competition we can get."
The Dukes kick off the season with a pair of road matchups against ACC opponents, opening the year on Saturday, Feb. 13 at North Carolina, which closed the shortened 2020 season ranked #1. Four days later, JMU treks down I-81 to Blacksburg to face Virginia Tech on Feb. 17.

JMU opens its seven-game home slate on Feb. 26 against High Point. The Dukes renew an old rivalry on March 3 when they welcome former CAA foe George Mason to Sentara Park. They follow that game up by opening CAA play at Elon on March 7.

The Dukes round out non-conference action hosting George Washington (March 14) and Virginia (March 26) before traveling to Liberty (March 31).

JMU resumes conference play with five consecutive games to close the regular season. JMU will meet Hofstra (April 10) in a neutral-site matchup at the US Lacrosse Complex in Sparks, Md., before heading to Williamsburg to take on William & Mary (April 14).

The squad returns home to host rival Towson (April 18), followed by second games against both William & Mary (April 23) and Elon (April 25).
