SCOUTING THE TIGERS
- Towson enters Wednesday's contest at 3-7 (2-3 CAA) on the season, having swept a pair of games against UNCW after facing the Dukes for the first time, before dropping a pair of games at Hofstra this past weekend.
- Senior guard Zane Martin has returned to lead the Tigers, averaging a team-best 16.7ppg after earning First Team Preseason All-CAA honors coming into the season, while sophomore forward Solomon Uyaelunmo pulls down 5.9rpg to lead a strong presence on the boards, as Towson ranks 56th in the country in total rebounds per contest.
SERIES HISTORY
- The Dukes have won six of the last 10 contests between the two schools to increase their advantage in the all-time series to 36-19, dating back to the 1978-79 season, including a 21-5 advantage in games played in Harrisonburg.
- Less than two weeks ago, the Dukes picked up an 81-72 win at Towson in both teams' CAA opener. Senior Matt Lewis erupted for a season-high 30 points on an eye-popping 9-of-12 performance from the three-point line, adding a season-high eight assists along the way. Freshman Justin Amadi added a double-double on the afternoon with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
