LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. - Sophomore
Amelia Williams posted the fifth top-10 finish of her young career on Monday afternoon, leading the way as the James Madison women's golf team took third place at the 44th Annual Pat Bradley Invitational, hosted by FIU at the par-72, 6,285-yard Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club.
Williams capped a strong weekend with the lowest final round in the field, a bogey-free 68 (-4) that vaulted her into sole possession of seventh among 78 players at 1-under 215 for the weekend.
As a team, the Dukes continued their stellar play in 2021, finishing third on a strong 15-team leaderboard. Their final score of 6-over 870 (287-292-291) put them just three shots behind team champion Boston College and one shot behind host FIU.
Freshman
Tatum Walsh picked up her first collegiate top-10 after kicking off her weekend with an opening-round 69 (-3), as she tied for 10th at 218 (+2 | 69-74-75).
Redshirt sophomore
Kendall Turner tied for 21st at 5-over 221 (74-73-74), while redshirt junior
Kate Owens (71-78-74) and freshman
Kayleigh Reinke (74-71-79) finished two and three shots back, respectively, in ties for 25th and 27th.

Amelia Williams' final-round 68 is tied for the second-lowest round ever shot by a JMU golfer, just one stroke behind her own school record of 67.
- The Dukes close the fall season with a team scoring average of 291.53 (+4), which is 10 strokes lower than the current school record of 301.52 (+14) set last season. Currently, the gap between 2021-22 and last year's record is larger than the gap between last year and the 15th-lowest season average on record.

The Dukes have wrapped up their fall season and will resume tournament play in 2022. They will open the spring in Boca Raton, Fla., where they will take part in the FAU Paradise Invitational, hosted on Feb. 7-8 at Osprey Point Golf Course.
