James Madison will begin to wrap up its home slate by welcoming UNCW to the Atlantic Union Bank Center on Tuesday. Tip is set for 3 p.m. with the game broadcast live on FloSports.
Originally, the Dukes were scheduled to face the Seahawks in a weekend series at home on Jan. 9-10 but the games were postponed due to a postitive CoVID-19 case within JMU's program.
The Dukes only played one game last week due to their weekend series against Hofstra getting postponed because of CoVID-19 protocols within the Pride's program. The sole game was against Towson were JMU suffered a tough 83-74 setback on Feb. 10, as the Tigers evened the season series.
In the game, sophomore Kiki Jefferson posted an outstanding double-double in a career-best 29 points, going a perfect 10-10 from the free throw line alongside a game-high 10 rebounds.
On the season, Jefferson leads the Dukes in scoring, posting 15.9 points per game (7th in CAA) on an efficient 49.2 percent (87-177) shooting from the field (3rd in CAA) in addition to grabbing a team-best 7.4 rebounds per game (6th in CAA) and dishing out a team-high 2.5 assists.

SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS

UNCW enters the game having not played since Jan. 31 which was a loss to Hofstra, 59-48 on the road.
In the game, three Seahawks scored in double figures led by Carol-Anne Obusek with a double-double in 13 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Mary McMillan led the team with dropping 14 points.
On the season, Obusek leads the way by being one of two players in conference averaging a double-double in 14.5 points (8th in CAA) and 10.0 rebounds a game, good for second-most in conference.

SERIES HISTORY

Tuesday's matchup will be the 77th meeting of all-time between JMU and UNCW.
JMU holds a steady 66-10 advantage in the series with a solid 34-3 record when playing at home.
In the last meeting on Feb. 16, 2020, then-freshman Kiki Jefferson tied her then-career high with 21 points to lead JMU to a 76-52 win over UNCW in the Convocation Center to earn the season sweep.
