HARRISONBURG, Va. – The James Madison men's soccer team will travel to Wilson, N.C. as they take on UCF in the NCAA Second Round on Sunday, May 2 at 5 p.m. at J. Burt Gillette Athletic Complex. The Dukes are playing in their third consecutive NCAA Tournament after winning the Colonial Athletic Association title on April 17 in penalty kicks, 4-3, against Hofstra.

Scouting the Dukes
- JMU is making their 15th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, after they won their third consecutive CAA title and eighth overall against Hofstra. The Dukes went to a penalty kick shootout after a scoreless draw and won 4-3.
- Seven different Dukes have scored a goal this season, with Erhardt leading the way with three of his own and has also added an assist. Erhardt also has the team lead in points with seven, while Rodrigo Robles leads the team in shots (18) and Clay Obara and Ethan Taylor share the team lead in shots on goal at eight.
- TJ Bush has been the main goalkeeper for the Dukes, spending 772:38 in goal this season. He has 27 saves on the season and leads the nation with a 0.23 goals against average. He is also the nation leader in save percentage with a 0.931.
Scouting the Knights
- UCF will be making their eighth appearance in the NCAA Tournament after winning their first American Athletic Conference title after eight seasons in the league. They took down Tulsa 1-0 to win the title in their third consecutive championship appearance.
- A trio of Knights have led the team this season as Hattabiou Barry, Gino Vivi, and Yoni Sorokin all have four goals. Vivi has added three assists as well for a team-high 11 points. He also leads the squad with 40 shots and 17 of them on goal.
- Yannik Oetti has been the primary goalkeeper for the Knights, spending 940 minutes between the post. He is tied for fifth in the nation with 52 saves and boasts a 0.48 goals against average.
All Time Series
- This will be the third ever meeting between the two programs, and the first time they have squared off since 1990.
- JMU and UCF are tied at 1-1 in the two matches they have played, with UCF taking a 1-0 victory in the first meeting and JMU coming away with a 5-0 win on October 19, 1990.
- Both times the teams have played, it has been at a neutral site as both matches were in regular season tournaments.
Quick Kicks
- JMU put together their second three-peat in program history and the first one since the 1992-94 campaigns.
- The Dukes are tied with William & Mary for the most titles in CAA history with eight each. JMU is also the first program to complete a three-peat in the CAA since Hofstra in 2004-06, and the only program to have three-peated twice.
- Bush now is the program record holder for shutouts in a career with 30 and is six saves away from breaking into the career top 10 at JMU.
- The JMU defense has been on lockdown all season, leading the country in goals against average (0.231), save percentage (0.933), and shutout percentage (0.750). They are also in the top 50 in the country in corner kicks per game, goal differential, shots on goal per game, and shot accuracy,
- This is the highest JMU has been ranked entering an NCAA Tournament since 2000 when they were ranked 13th.
