WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The James Madison women's golf team captured its first team title of the 2021-22 season on Monday afternoon, leading wire-to-wire as the Dukes took home first place at the William & Mary Invitational, hosted on the par-72, 6,219-yard River Course at historic Kingsmill Resort.
The Dukes opened the tournament with consecutive rounds of 287 (-1) on Sunday to set a new program record for 36-hole scoring and take a lead heading into the final round, then held the field at bay with a final-round 296 on a difficult setup to best second-place Princeton by one shot on the 15-team leaderboard.
Sophomore
Kendall Turner paced the Dukes with her fifth career top-10 finish, finishing at 218 (75-71-72 | +2) to tie for eighth among 79 players. Sophomores

Amelia Williams (68-78-73) checked in just one stroke behind, tied for 12th at 219 (+3).
