Men's Hoops Lays Out 2021-22 Non-Conference Slate

HARRISONBURG, Va. – In addition to six home games, James Madison men's basketball will travel to the Naples Invitational and The Palestra as part of the Dukes' complete 2021-22 non-conference schedule, as announced by head coach Mark Byington on Thursday afternoon.

As announced earlier this summer, the Dukes will play host to in-state rivals in Virginia (Dec. 7), Old Dominion (Nov. 13), George Mason (Nov. 19) and Radford (Dec. 11). JMU will also open its season at home against Carlow (Nov. 10, 7 p.m.) and will later host Eastern Mennonite on Dec. 2.

The Dukes will take part in the Naples Invitational on Nov. 22-24, opening the event against Kent State at noon on Nov. 22 before playing a second and third game each of the next two days. JMU will then close the week with a bout at Florida Atlantic on Sunday, Nov. 28.

Prior to that trip, JMU will travel to Eastern Kentucky for its first road trip of the year on Nov. 16.

The Dukes will cap their non-conference slate with consecutive road trips, heading to Morgan State on Dec. 21 before making a trip to The Palestra for the first time since 2011 to face Penn on Dec. 28.
