HARRISONGBURG, Va. — The James Madison women's basketball team recorded their lowest shooting percentage of the season as they fell to Northeastern 62-50 Sunday afternoon at the Atlantic Union Bank Center. The Dukes fall to 9-10 (5-3 CAA) while the Huskies improve to 12-7 (6-3 CAA).  Â

JMU shot just 25.9% (15-58) while Northeastern ended the day with a field goal percentage of 43.6 (24-55).

The Dukes were outrebounded for the first time in conference play as the Huskies held a 41-38 edge on the glass.

Statistically Speaking

Kiki Jefferson led the Dukes in scoring with 20 points while
Jaylin Carodine was the top rebounder with 12 boards.
- Jefferson also dished out a team-high three assists.
- Carodine collected a career-best five steals.
- Northeastern scored 11 points off JMU's 15 turnovers.
- The Huskies scored 32 points in the paint while the Dukes scored just 18 down low.
First Quarter: JMU 10, Northeastern 8
- Jefferson had eight of JMU's 10 first-quarter points.
- Both teams struggled to shot in the opening quarter. Northeastern shot 25% (4-16) from the floor while JMU finished 23.1% (3-13).
Second Quarter: Northeastern 25, JMU 18
- After holding Northeastern to just eight points in the first quarter, the Dukes were could only register eight points themselves in the following frame.
- JMU still struggled from the floor with a second-quarter field goal percentage of 28.6 (4-14).
- Northeastern shot 50% (7-14), including 3-for-6 from beyond the arc.
- The Huskies ended the half with back-to-back threes to take an eight-point lead.

Third Quarter: Northeastern 46, JMU 38
- JMU came out of the break to shoot 46.2% (6-13) from the floor and an impressive 80% (4-5) from three-point range.

Steph Ouderkirk led the Dukes from long range and she went 3-for-3 to log nine points.
Fourth Quarter: Northeastern 62, JMU 50
- The Dukes ended the final quarter with a field goal percentage of just 11.1%, only scoring two field goals in the final 10 minutes.
