PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - James Madison got off to a strong start on Monday night, but could not hold off a hot-shooting Drexel team in the second half, dropping a 72-66 decision in men's basketball action at the Daskalakis Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
The two teams were evenly matched to open the contest, with neither side leading by more than a possession through the first seven minutes. However, a fadeaway jumper from redshirt junior
Jalen Hodge with 13:01 left started a run of 10 straight points that put the Dukes up, 23-12.
The Dukes would clamp down on defense, allowing just four Drexel points across those final 13 minutes and heading into the half with a 28-16 advantage.
Second Half
After Drexel had difficulty finding open shots in the first half, the Dragons caught fire early in the second, hitting five three-pointers in the first 6:15 to tie things up at 37-37.
Just a minute later, Drexel reeled off 13 straight points across just 4:15 of game time to go up 50-42 and would not surrender the lead again. The Dukes would continue fighting, hitting four three-pointers in the final minute, but could not get closer than four as the Dragons closed out the win.
