RICHMOND, Va. – James Madison women's basketball junior guard
Kiki Jefferson has been named Second Team All-Colonial Athletic Association for the 2021-22 season, as announced by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.
Jefferson ended the 2021-22 season leading the Dukes in both scoring (18.8 points per game) and assists (2.2 assists per game). She finished the season as the third-best scorer in the CAA. Jefferson was the second-leading rebounder for JMU, pulling down 6.8 boards per outing.
The guard recorded four double-doubles during her third season with the Dukes. She scored 20+ points in 16 games and 30+ points twice, including a career-best 32 points on Feb. 6
th's comeback win over William & Mary.
Jefferson was consistent at the charity stripe all season long as she registered a free throw percentage of 81.3%. The junior netted 174 foul shots to rank second in the country in made free throws.
The Second Team All-CAA accolade marks the third-straight season with all-league honors for Jefferson. Following her first season in Harrisonburg, Jefferson was tabbed the CAA Rookie of the Year and earned a spot on the conference's All-Rookie Team. The Lancaster, Pa. native added First Team All-CAA honors to her resume at the conclusion of the 2020-21 campaign.
