Heptathlon Highlights Weekend for Dukes at UVA Invite

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – James Madison track & field juniors Bethany Biggi and Erin Babashak each recorded personal-bests in the heptathlon this weekend at the UVA Invite.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- Biggi finished fifth in the heptathlon with her personal-best total of 4694. Her mark moved her up to fourth on the Dukes' all-time top 10 list for the event.
- Babashak registered a sixth-place finish of 4481 to move to seventh on the all-time performance list.
- In the pole vault, Rachel Lloyd finished fifth after clearing the bar at 12' 6" (3.81m).
- Shelby Staib finished sixth in the javelin with her throw of 150' 6" (45.87m).

- "It was great to have Erin and Bethany move up on the top 10 list," expressed head coach Ron McCown. "Congratulations to both of them! Shelby, in the javelin, and Rachel, in the pole vault, also had good performances this weekend. Go Dukes!"
