Miëtte Veldman recorded her second double-double of the season in James Madison's 3-0 ( 25-18, 25-16, 25-14) victory over Niagara on Saturday at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena.

The Dukes moved up to 5-3 while the Purple Eagles fell to 2-6 on the season.

Veldman tallied 16 kills and 14 digs in the match, followed closely by
Sophie Davis with 10 kills and
Jaydyn Clemmer with 12 digs. The Dukes notched all seven aces of the matches, with Veldman recording thee of them.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
The set started off even but a 4-0 run from the Dukes kills from
Annie Smith and Veldman put the Dukes up 18-13. JMU kept its lead and won the first set.

Second Set
In a dominant second set, a pair of 3-0 runs and a 4-0 run secured the second set for the Dukes.

Third Set
The Dukes picked up an early 10-4 lead and led by at least three points for the rest of the match. JMU went 6-1 in the final points of the set to win the match.
