- The Dukes dropped its second straight contest last time out, falling at home to App State 71-62. JMU fell to 2-2 in conference play, with the road team taking all four games in the Dukes' Sun Belt Conference tilts.

SCOUTING THE JAGUARS
- South Alabama fell to Texas State 64-58 on Saturday, suffering just its second home loss of the season (4-2).
- The Jaguars' offense is led by Isaiah Moore who has 17.5 points per game and 4.7 assists per game, both ranking fourth in the SBC.
- USA is last in the league in rebounds per game, only pulling in 32.8 per contest.
- South Alabama has already blocked 19 shots in league play, including eight rejections in its win over Arkansas State.
SERIES HISTORY
- Each side has taken two victories in the all-time series between the teams, with JMU winning most recently in Harrisonburg in 1991.
- Thursday will be the second matchup at South Alabama, as the Jaguars won their only other home game, 74-65, on Dec. 22, 1990.
