HARRISONBURG, Va. – The James Madison cheerleading program is set to compete in the 2023 University Cheer Association College Nationals hosted at Walt Disney Resort in Orlando, Fla from Jan. 13-15.

James Madison will kick off its routine in the State Farm Field House on Friday, Jan. 13 at 12:44 p.m.

JMU recently combined their all-girl and co-ed teams into a single co-ed team that will compete this weekend. This will be the first time in program history that JMU will be participating at the single co-ed level.

The squad will also be competing at the FBS level for the first time in JMU program history after joining the Sun Belt Conference. The division features 19 other teams from across the country including defending champions Cincinnati.

The team is under the direction of Head Coach
Tony Morris. Morris is in his fourth year of coaching at James Madison and is assisted by Kimberlee Adkins and Jenna Guenther.

James Madison competes in this event yearly and most recently won the championship in 2012.

The entire competition will be broadcast on Varsity TV with a subscription fee.
