JMU Cheerleading Earns Top-10 Finishes at National Championships

HARRISONBURG, Va. — James Madison cheerleading delivered a historic performance at the 2026 Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) College Nationals, earning a medal-placement for the first time at the Division I-A level with a third-place finish.
The Dukes have steadily risen throughout the four years they have competed at the level, earning a 16th-place finish in 2023 before improving to 15th in 2024 and fourth in 2025. JMU finished behind Minnesota and Memphis, respectively, in Division I-A Small Coed Gameday.
JMU also earned an eighth-place finish in Division I-A Small Coed Traditional.
