THE DUKES
- James Madison will wrap up its road trip with a contest at Southern Miss on Jan. 7. The opening tip is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET (2 p.m. CT) and will stream on ESPN+.
- JMU is coming off a 74-67 road win at Marshall on Jan. 5, the 10th straight victory for the Dukes and the seventh consecutive road win this season.
- Senior guard Kiki Jefferson registered her fifth double-double of the season against the Thundering Herd with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Her 13 boards marked a career-high, while she also recorded a season-high two blocks.
- Three other Dukes scored in double figures: juniors Kseniia Kozlova (17), Jamia Hazell (14), and Peyton McDaniel (13). For Hazell, her 14 points tied a season-high on 6-of-12 (50.0%) from the field.
- Graduate student Caroline Germond dished out a team-best four assists and recorded a season-high three steals on Thursday night. Germond is tied for 15th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.71.
- James Madison ranks in the top 20 nationally in four categories: rebound margin (9th - +11.5), field goal percentage defense (11th - 34.1%), defensive rebounds per game (13th - 31.2), and rebounds per game (16th - 43.8), and
- Junior Peyton McDaniel is tied for 18th in the country in three-point percentage at 46.1%, knocking down 35-of-76 from deep.
- The Dukes boast the Sun Belt Conference's third-best offense (72.0 ppg) and defense (57.2 ppg). From beyond the arc, JMU is No. 2 in the conference three-point percentage (32.4%) and tops the league in opponent three-point percentage (26.1%).
- Individually, Jefferson is third in the SBC in scoring (17.9 ppg), rebounding (8.3 rpg), and free throw percentage (81.6%).
SCOUTING THE LADY EAGLES
- Southern Miss owns a 10-4 (3-0 SBC) record and is the only other Sun Belt team with an undefeated conference mark.
- The undefeated mark is the best start to conference play under Head Coach Joye Lee-McNelis and the best league start since the 1997-98 season. McNelis is the longest-tenured coach in the Sun Belt with 19 years at the helm.
- The Lady Eagles are coming off a 44-43 squeaker over Louisiana on Jan. 5 after trailing the Ragin' Cajuns 28-20. Sophomore guard Jaccoriah Bracey paced the team with 16 points and eight rebounds in the win.
- Junior Domonique Davis was named Preseason Sun Belt First Team and leads the conference in scoring with 18.7 ppg, which is tied for 33rd in the nation.
- Southern Miss is tied for 42nd in the NCAA in offensive rebounds per game with 14.4 per outing.

- James Madison will return to Harrisonburg for a four-game homestand from Jan. 12-21. The Dukes host App State first on Thursday, Jan. 12 (7 p.m.), followed by Georgia State on Saturday, Jan. 14 (4 p.m.) In the subsequent week, JMU welcomes Georgia Southern for a Thursday night clash on Jan. 19 (7 p.m.) and will cap off the homestand versus Troy on Saturday, Jan. 21 (4 p.m.).
