Â
Quoting Head Coach Chrisy Morgan
"I'm really pleased with the performance. I think the emotion of the seniors, knowing that it's their last opportunity, and people playing for the seniors really created a very connected, fast-paced unit out there today, and it's evident with the score. They wanted so much for each other, so people were looking to help rather than be that person. When you're playing that way – when you're playing connected and playing together – the sky's the limit."

Game Notes
- James Madison held the advantage in shots (53-3), shots on goal (39-1) and penalty corners (6-2).
- JMU's 53 shots and 39 shots on goal are the most under the program during Head Coach Christy Morgan's second stint in Harrisonburg (2014-Pres.). Â
- The Dukes' 14 goals marked the first time the team had reached double-digits in scoring since netting 12 versus Towson on Oct. 1, 2016. The game against the Tigers was also the last time JMU had registered 50 or more shots.
- Coming into the game, the Dukes had not scored more than three goals in a quarter this season. However, they struck four times in the first, three times in the third and six in the fourth.
- Carawan (3) and Julian (4) both registered hat tricks, the first Dukes to achieve the feat since former Duke Eveline Zwager found the back of the net three times at UC Davis on Oct. 21, 2022.
- Carawan finished the season as the team leader in points (9), while Julian (8g, 8a) paced the Dukes with 24 points.
- Eleven JMU players recorded points in the win. All in all, nineteen players tallied points in 2023.
- The shutout was the program's first since blanking No. 12 Wake Forest on Senior Day in 2022, 2-0, on Oct. 16.
