HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison Athletics has announced its full promotional schedule for the 2023 lacrosse season. The Dukes will host eight regular-season home games this season at Sentara Park as a new affiliate member of the American Athletic Conference.

James Madison lacrosse began the season No. 12 in the nation, receiving that ranking in the ILWomen/IWLCA Division I Preseason Poll following a 14-5 record in the 2022 season and a seventh consecutive NCAA Championship appearance. Five of JMU's eight home opponents began the season ranked in the top 25 including two in the top 10.

The promotional slate kicks off on
Wednesday, March 1 when JMU hosts #5 Maryland for the home opener. Special Duke Dog lacrosse shirts will be given away to students while supplies last, and everyone can grab the new 2023 lacrosse team poster. Join us for the first Midweek Munchies of the season and take advantage of discounted $2 hot dogs at concessions.

Saturday, March 4 vs. Ohio State! Stop by the marketing table for free tchotchkes and other JMU lacrosse swag and enter to win a JMU lacrosse stick! One lucky student will Crawl for Cash at halftime!

JMU returns home for a
Saturday, March 11 contest vs. #19 Johns Hopkins. The Duenkel Family is being recognized pregame for their generous support in the building of the Duenkel Athletic Complex, and the 2023 season marks the five-year anniversary of the 2018 National Championship-winning team. We are proud to welcome back the champion Dukes for a reunion and halftime recognition! Stop by the marketing table for giveaways celebrating the team, including a 2018 National Champions koozie and specialty poster. Also, the first trading card giveaway of the season is March 11 – make sure to pick up trading cards for the freshman class!

#7 Florida on Saturday, March 18. Join us in celebrating the 50
th anniversary of Title IX, and in welcoming Special Olympics VA to the game! Giveaways include JMU lacrosse Post-It Notes and the sophomore class trading cards set. This game marks the beginning of Kids Week - stick around for postgame autographs and to meet the team!
