Holden Koons was once again voted one of the top singles players in the Commonwealth, as he was named VaSID University Division First Team All-State in singles, the Virginia Sports Information Directors announced.

Koons wraps up his career as a four-time All-State honoree, earning First Team accolades for the second straight season and third time overall.
Â
A First Team All-Sun Belt singles honoree in 2023, Koons completed the year as the ninth-ranked singles competitor in the ITA Atlantic Region. Played at the top singles slot, he posted a 29-12 singles record, which included a 14-7 mark in dual-match play. Koons was 4-4 in Sun Belt singles matches to earn a top spot on the all-conference squad.

Koons additionally went 13-13 at #1 doubles, including 10-6 in dual play. He added a 3-2 ledger in conference doubles bouts.

The York, Pa., native tallied 146 career victories for the Dukes, with 88 singles wins and 58 doubles triumphs.

Koons was the lone player not from the University of Virginia to make the All-State First Team in singles, as the Cavaliers claimed the other five spots.
