Koons Earns ITA Scholar-Athlete Honors for Fourth Straight Year

PHOENIX, Az. – James Madison men's tennis senior Holden Koons was honored for his achievements in the classroom during the 2022-23 academic year, as he was named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Monday.

Koons earned the accolade in each of his four years with the Dukes.

To be eligible, a student-athlete must possess at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average while being enrolled full-time.

It's the fifth straight season a JMU men's tennis athlete was named ITA Scholar-Athlete.
