JMU Lacrosse Signs Ten Future Dukes on National Signing Day

HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison Lacrosse has signed ten incoming student-athletes to complete the class of 2029, as announced by Head Coach Shelley Klaes on Wednesday.

The class consists of two attackers and eight midfielders. JMU signed athletes from two regions including the Mid-Atlantic (Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania) and South (Virginia, North Carolina, Florida).

JMU continues to attract, develop, and commit student-athletes who want to actively participate in a championship culture and not only be a dynamic individual contributor but also become part of a great team. The signees are top performers on their high school, club, and regional teams as well as in the international game. They are multi-sport athletes and competitors with championship experiences.

"This class is exceptional," said Head Coach Shelley Klaes. "They will bring a speed and quickness factor that will help us compete at the highest level. There are multiple dodging threats which will elevate our game offensively, and the spirit and grit within this group aligns perfectly with our culture. I believe members of the class will make a smooth transition into college athletics and push our program in every facet of the game."

The incoming Dukes will enroll at JMU during the fall of 2025 and begin play in the 2026 season.
