HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison Head Coach
Steve Secord announced the men's tennis schedule for the
2025 spring dual-match season, which features 20 matches, including nine at home.
The Dukes will face eight opponents from the Commonwealth of Virginia, with seven coming in non-conference matches.
JMU kicks off the spring with a big road test at North Carolina (Jan. 19) out of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Dukes begin their home slate the following weekend against Longwood (Jan. 25) at East Campus Tennis Courts.
After road weekend at VCU (Jan. 31) and at Liberty (Feb. 2), JMU returns home for another in-state clash with George Mason (Feb. 8). A midweek trip to Radford (Feb. 12) begins a three-match trip, as JMU heads back to the Carolinas for bouts at Davidson (Feb. 22) and at Queens (Feb. 23).
The Dukes open the Hillside Courts portion of the home slate with three in a row, hosting Richmond (Mar. 1), William & Mary (Mar. 7) and UNCG (Mar. 13).
Sun Belt Conference play starts the next week, as JMU travels to Atlanta to face Georgia State (Mar. 16). The following day, it stays in Georgia for the non-conference finale at Mercer (Mar. 17).
JMU is back home to host Coastal Carolina (Mar. 21) and Georgia Southern (Mar. 23) before a three-match conference trip at Troy (Mar. 29), South Alabama (Mar. 30) and Old Dominion (Apr. 5).
The Dukes wrap up the regular season versus Louisiana (Apr. 12) and Southern Miss (Apr. 13), with the latter bout being Senior Day for the team.
The Sun Belt Championship heads back to the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga., on April 18-20, with the winner earning the automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
