WOMEN'S HOOPS HEADS TO HUNTINGTON
- James Madison will complete its regular-season series with Marshall on Wednesday, Jan. 15. Action inside the Cam Henderson Center is slated for 6 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+.
- Last time out, Peyton McDaniel recorded a season-high 29 points on 9-of-19 (.474), including 21 in the second half, as JMU rolled past Georgia Southern, 85-68, inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center on Saturday afternoon for its fifth consecutive victory.
- The Dukes sank 25-of-30 (.833) from the line and held Georgia Southern to a season-low four offensive rebounds. JMU dominated the glass, out-rebounding the Eagles 46-31.
- Zakiya Stephenson posted a career-high nine rebounds, nine points and six assists. Kseniia Kozlova finished with 12 points, four boards and one block in 19 minutes of action. Annalicia Goodman produced 10 points and a season-high eight rebounds off the bench.
- The Dukes own three top-40 marks nationally: defensive rebounds per game (T-15th - 29.5), rebounds per game (T-28th - 41.94) and three-point percentage defense (38th - 26.4).
- Individually, McDaniel is second in the Sun Belt Conference in scoring (15.3 ppg) and fifth in rebounding (7.8 rpg).
- Marshall shot a road-best 45.0 percent (27-of-60) from the field, however, Old Dominion made 12-of-25 (.480) from three and made 18 shots (18-of-29) from the line for an 80-75 Monarchs' victory on Saturday.
- The Herd own a pair of top-10 marks nationally: three-point attempts per game (5th - 30.6) and three-pointers per game (8th - 10.1).
LAST TIME VS. THE HERD
- Ashanti Barnes poured in a career-high 25 points and 10 rebounds for her third Division I double-double to lead James Madison women's to a 71-59 home win over Marshall on Jan. 9.
- Barnes finished 8-of-13 (.615) from the field and shot a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line to go along with four assists. Peyton McDaniel connected on 3-of-5 (.600) from behind the arc for 15 points and came away with three steals. Bree Robinson scored a career-high 12 points and notched a trio of takeaways, while Jamia Hazell added eight points.
- JMU held an advantage in points in the paint (34-22), points off turnovers (24-14), bench points (19-12) and fast break points (15-9).

ROAD DOGS
- Since joining the Sun Belt in 2022, the Dukes are 33-15 (.688) outside the friendly confines of the Atlantic Union Bank Center, highlighted by a 16-4 (.800) mark in the team's inaugural season in the new conference. The 12 true road wins that season tied the program record with the 2006-07 and 2014-15 seasons with marks of 12-5 and 12-1, respectively.
- JMU has gone 4-1 in its last five games away from Harrisonburg, most recently defeating Texas State 81-60 on Jan. 4.
THE DUKES VS. THE SUN BELT
- James Madison holds an 85-68 (.556) record against current Sun Belt Conference foes and is 36-11 (.766) since joining the conference in 2022.
- The Dukes have encountered Old Dominion more than any other SBC opponent, trailing 53-30 in the all-time series. Additionally, ODU is the only team in the league with a winning record against JMU.
- JMU has never lost to Louisiana (5-0), Southern Miss (3-0), Texas State (3-0), Arkansas State (2-0), South Alabama (2-0), or ULM (1-0).
