JMU CONTINUES ROAD TRIP AT GEORGIA SOUTHERN

James Madison men's basketball continues its four-game road trip with a contest against Georgia Southern on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 5 p.m. inside the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center in Statesboro, Ga.
The Dukes are coming off a 77-68 loss to Old Dominion on Wednesday and enter this game with a 7-5 record (0-1 Sun Belt).
Georgia Southern - winners of six straight, enter this game with a 9-5 record and 1-0 mark in Sun Belt Conference play after defeating Georgia State on Thursday 90-67.

JMU dropped its Sun Belt Conference opener, 77-68, to the Old Dominion Monarchs on Wednesday night at Chartway Arena.
Justin McBride scored 24 points to lead JMU (7-5, 0-1 Sun Belt), but Ketron Shaw paced Old Dominion (4-8, 1-0 SBC) with 22 points, as the Monarchs also made 27 free throws.
Outside of McBride, Bradley Douglas and Cliff Davis chipped in with 13 points, with Douglas leading the Dukes with seven assists. McBride also led JMU with seven rebounds.
Jordan Battle (19) and Jared Turner (14) also reached double figures for ODU, which shot just 39.6 percent but made 27 free throws.

James Madison junior forward Justin McBride is enjoying a breakout campaign, leading the Dukes with an average of 17.8 points per game - which leads the SBC.
McBride has scored in double figures in 11 of 12 games played, which includes five 20-point games and a 33-point outing against Norfolk State on Dec. 6.
McBride recently had 24 points against Old Dominion on Dec. 17, marking his fifth 20-point game of the season.
His 20-point games include 21 against Towson (11/18), 26 against FIU (11/24), and 24 against Omaha (11/25), along with his 33 points against Norfolk State.
This season, he is shooting 53.6 percent (75-140) from the floor and 23-of-47 (.489) from behind the arc.
On Tuesday, Dec. 3, McBride became the first JMU player since Bryce Lindsay in November 2024 to be named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week. McBride earned the award by averaging 22.7 points and 6.7 rebounds over three games that week, shooting 53.7 percent (22-41) from the floor and 9-of-16 (.563) from three-point range, as JMU went 2-1.
