Mountaineers Use Five Home Runs to Power Past Dukes

HARRISONBURG, Va. – Multi-home run games from Makayla McClain and Macy Hemby helped App State push past James Madison by a score of 8-0 in five innings in Sun Belt Conference play on Friday evening at Veterans Memorial Park.

McClain and Hamby at the top of the App State (11-20, 2-5 SBC) batting order, combined to go 4-for-7, scoring four runs, and driving in five on four home runs.

JMU (11-18, 0-7 SBC) put across just two singles against Sophie Moshos who went the distance in the contest while fanning three.

Kylee Gleason extended her hitting streak to three games, her fourth stretch this season of at least a hit in three straight games.
