JMU Earns #13 Ranking in Latest IWLCA Poll

HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison lacrosse received the #13 ranking in the latest IWLCA Division I Poll, as announced Monday morning.

This follows a 1-1 week for the Dukes, who played the final two games of a four-game homestand. JMU fell to then-#5 Hopkins before outscoring Charlotte in 12-3 in the second half to win 17-10 in its inaugural contest with the 49ers to remain undefeated in AAC play (3-0).

The Dukes currently sit 11th in the NCAA RPI, having already faced five opponents in the top-15. JMU holds the second-highest position of any mid-major team in the country, only behind Princeton who sits fifth in the RPI.

JMU is now 7-4 on the season and remains the only team from the AAC ranked in the poll. The Dukes are ranked 11th in the USA Lacrosse Division I Women's Top 20 this week.

#13 JMU will return to action on Wednesday, April 9 when it travels to the Nation's Capital to play Georgetown. Opening draw is at 4:00 p.m. and will be streamed on FloCollege.
