PHILADELPHIA – In their final tune-up before hosting the Sun Belt Championship, the James Madison track & field team produced a school record in the 4x100-meter relay at the Penn Relays on Friday at Franklin Field.
Kaia Putman,
Holly Mpassy,
Faith Fuqua and
Kyndal Turner ran to a tune of 45.21 – passing the previous 4x100-meter relay school record of 45.37 set by
Meredith Willis,
Kennedy King,
Aereale Scott and
Alexys Taylor at the Virginia Challenge on April 21, 2017.
Later in the day, Putman (200m), Fuqua (200m), Mpassy (400m) and
Sofia Terenziani (800m) teamed up to register the seventh-fastest sprint medley relay time in program history with an effort of 4:03.59.
JMU concluded its time at the Penn Relays with the 4x400-meter relay, run by
Kadence Wilson,
Esther Saint-Germain,
Kam'Dyn Thomas and
Christine Fitzgerald who finished in 3:52.23.
