2025 Hall of Fame Tickets on Sale for Aug. 29

Registration is now open and tickets on sale for induction of the 2025 Class into the James Madison Athletics Hall of Fame, to be held on Friday, August 29 in the Atlantic Union Bank Center at 5:30 p.m. The event features social time, dinner and the formal ceremony celebrating six new former student-athletes and one long-time university administrator as part of the 37th class to be inducted into the JMU Hall of Fame.
As announced in January, the class includes women's basketball guard Kirby Burkholder (2010-2014), sprint freestyle swimmer Eva Hannesdottir (2010-2012), diver Kimberly (Helfrich) Solari Brown (2009-2013), former Senior Vice President of Administration and Finance and current President Charles King (1996-2021, 2024-Present), men's basketball guard Darren McLinton (1992-1996), baseball relief pitcher Kevin Munson (2008-2010) and football linebacker Stephon Robertson (2009-2013).
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with an initial cocktail hour. Dinner and programming will begin at 6:30 p.m. Cocktail attire is required. Questions about the event can be directed to Mia Garrett, Assistant Director of Events and Donor Stewardship at garretmx@jmu.edu.
Attendance at the event requires pre-registration, which is open now through Monday, August 18 at 5 p.m. ET. Individual tickets for the induction are $75 per person for adults or $35 for youth (12 and under) Registrants are requested to complete the information page completely, filling in all fields, including contact information, guest names and the option to indicate dietary restrictions.
Nominations for the JMU Athletics Hall of Fame can be submitted online by any individual at any time. All candidates are considered according to the Hall of Fame selection criteria.
