PHOENIX, Az. – Six James Madison women's tennis student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, and the program was honored as an All-Academic Team the 2024-25 academic year, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced.

This is the 17th straight year at least one JMU women's tennis athlete was named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and beats last year's five awardees. To be eligible, a student-athlete must hold at least a 3.5 grade-point average in a given academic year.
On the team side, the Dukes registered a 3.414 team GPA for the 2024-25 year to achieve All-Academic Team status for the 13th consecutive year, dating back to 2013. It was also the fourth time Thomas produced an ITA All-Academic squad, with two at JMU and a pair at Omaha.
In order to be an academic team, programs must hold at least a combined 3.2 GPA during the academic year.
