HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison women's basketball will wrap up its week at home with a Saturday tilt against South Alabama. The opening tip inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center is slated for 1 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+.
LAST TIME VS. THE JAGUARS
- James Madison knocked down 26-of-53 (.491) from the field and poured in 44 points in the paint to survive a second-half surge from South Alabama in a 76-62 win in Sun Belt women's basketball action on Feb. 5, 2025.
- With the victory, Head Coach Sean O'Regan notched his 200th win at the helm of the program. O'Regan is the third coach in program history to reach 200 career wins, joining Kenny Brooks (337-122) and Shelia Moorman (302-134).
- JMU sank 21-of-29 (.724) from the charity stripe and received 31 points from its bench to down the Jaguars.
THE DUKES VS. THE SUN BELT
- James Madison holds a 106-73 (.592) record against current Sun Belt Conference foes and is 57-16 (.778) since joining the league in 2022.

- With 2,085 career points, Peyton McDaniel is 37 points away from passing Tamera Young (2004-08) for third in all-time scoring at JMU, tallying 2,121 in her career.
- If McDaniel maintains her career scoring average of 14.7 ppg, she'll reach 2,122 points in three games.
- With 940 points at JMU, Ashanti Barnes needs 60 more to become the 35th member of the program's 1,000-point club.
