GREENVILLE, N.C. – James Madison softball captured a pair of wins on Saturday at the Pirate Clash, as it overcame a late-inning deficit to defeat Towson, 10-9, in walk-off fashion before downing St. Bonaventure, 7-2, in the nightcap at the Max R. Joyner Family Stadium.

The Dukes (5-6) tallied a combined 25 hits and three home runs in the Saturday sweep. After conceding 10 hits to Towson (5-6) in game one, JMU's pitching allowed just six base hits to SBU (0-13).

Madison Edwards led the Dukes by going 6-for-9 from the plate with a pair of runs scored.
Kylee Gleason had four hits on the day with a team-best four runs scored , while
Emma Jo Evans also had four hits and three runs with a team-best four RBI.

Game one with the Tigers was highlighted by JMU's come-from-behind victory in extra innings, as it scored twice in the bottom of the seventh and added two more runs in the eighth, capped off by
Bella Henzler's game-winning RBI single.

After a lengthy weather delay, which pushed the final three games of the day back, JMU returned to the field just before 10 p.m. and scored six runs over the first four innings en route to the victory.

Game One: JMU 10, Towson 9 (8 inn.)
- JMU's bats came alive with a season-best 15 hits and three home runs while Towson had 10 hits with a homer.
- With the game knotted at 2-2, JMU sprung ahead with home runs in three straight innings. Evans hit a two-run homer in the third, while Lewis and Legzdin hit solo shots in the fourth and fifth, respectively, to give JMU a 6-2 lead.
- Towson answered with a big sixth inning, plating six runs for an 8-6 lead. Towson took advantage of bases-loaded situations, with three RBI walks and a pair of singles.
- In the seventh, Mia Tribul had a RBI double, and Kira Ortega tied the game with a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Legzdin.
- Towson regained the lead in the eighth on a Leah Mears double, but the Dukes answered in the bottom half, tying the game on a Lili Smith sac fly before Henzler wrapped the game with her walk-off single.
- Kirsten Fleet earned the win in the circle after going 7.0 innings and allowing three runs with three walks to go with three strikeouts.
- It was the first home run for all three Dukes, with Evans being the first of her career and Lewis the first as a Duke.

Game Two: JMU 7, St. Bonaventure 2
- Edwards had her second three-hit game of the day, going 3-for-4 while Gleason, Evans and Ortega each had a pair of base knocks to lead JMU to the day-two sweep.
- JMU scored two runs in three of the first four innings to snag a 6-1 lead. That included an Emily LeGrand two-RBI double and an Evans RBI triple.
- SBU cut the lead to 6-2 in the fifth, but JMU came back with an Edwards RBI double for the game's final run.
- Allie Braly pitched four innings in the circle, allowing one unearned run and four hits to get the decision. Taylor Johnson had three innings of relief, striking out four while giving up one run and two hits.
