JMU HOSTS LOUISIANA TO BEGIN HOMESTAND
- James Madison men's basketball is set to begin a four-game home stand on Wednesday, Feb. 4, as it hosts the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center at 7 p.m.
- The Dukes are coming off a split on the road last week, defeating Troy 73-64 on Jan. 29, and falling to Southern Miss 73-65 on Jan. 31. Louisiana has won two games in a row and sits at 7-16 overall and 5-6 in the Sun Belt after starting the season 1-11.
- This stretch kicks off the month of February where JMU will play six of eight games at home after five of nine games on the road in January.
LAST TIME OUT
- Down to eight available players, James Madison men's basketball battled, but fell short against Southern Miss, 73-65, last Saturday at Reed Green Coliseum in Hattiesburg, Miss.
- JMU (11-12, 4-7 Sun Belt) used a 13-2 run to take a 43-42 lead in the second half, but Southern Miss (12-12, 6-6 SBC) countered with a 14-3 run of its own and was able to hold on for the victory, snapping a five-game losing streak.
- The Golden Eagles finished 28-of-34 (.824) from the free-throw line and shot 45.7 percent, as Tylin Weeks led USM with 28 points and made 14 free throws.
- Bradley Douglas and Cliff Davis led the Dukes with 18 points each. Eddie Ricks III and Christian Brown each corralled six rebounds to lead JMU, which finished with 11 turnovers and shot just 4-of-20 (.200) from behind the arc.

LAST TIME VS. LOUISIANA
- Terrence Edwards Jr., scored a JMU-high 19 points to lead the Dukes to a 68-61 road win at Louisiana on Jan. 4, 2024.
- The win gave No. 19 JMU its 14th straight win to start the 2023-24 season. The Dukes trailed 23-22 at half but shot 56.7 percent (17-30) from the field in the second half.
- The win for JMU also snapped Louisiana's 19-game home winning streak.
- Terrence Edwards Jr. led the Dukes with 19 points, while T.J. Bickerstaff contributed 14 points and Noah Freidel added 11 points.
DUKES TO HOST TOLEDO FOR SECOND LEG OF MAC-SBC CHALLENGE
- James Madison men's basketball will face off with Toledo in the second leg of the MAC-SBC Challenge on Saturday, Feb. 7, inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center, the leagues announced on Tuesday, Jan. 6.
- Game time inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center is slated for 4 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+. The matchup will be the second in two seasons between the Dukes and Rockets.
- Last February, Toledo took down JMU 72-69 on Feb. 8, in the first meeting between the between the two schools.
- Toledo sits at 11-10 this season, including a 5-4 mark in MAC play. The Rockets fell to South Alabama, 76-74, in their season opener on Monday, Nov. 3, and sit at No. 163 in the latest NET rankings.
- MAC schools took nine of 13 matchups in first games of the challenge to kick off the 2025-26 season on Nov. 3. The Dukes fell 85-71 to Akron in Akron, Ohio.
LOCKING DOWN THE BANK
- The Atlantic Union Bank Center has been the home of James Madison men's and women's basketball since the 2020-21 season.
- During that span, JMU has gone 64-18 (.780) overall and is 7-2 in home games this season. Under Head Coach Preston Spradlin, the Dukes are 20-4 inside the AUBC dating back to 2024.
- Against Sun Belt foes, the Dukes are 24-7 (.774) and have just two losses the past two seasons in conference play at home.
- Against non-conference opponents, the Dukes are 32-3 (.914) and finished non-con play this season with a 5-0 record.
