Her grandfather, J.E. Crenshaw, was a catcher with the Plymouth Yankees, winners of the European theater of Operation World Series 1943
Her great uncle, Dr. E.C. Cutchins, held a Ph.D. in microbiology and worked on the measles vaccine in the late 1950s
Getting to know Lindsay... Why did you choose JMU? I loved the "small" feel of a big school, the excellent athletic training staff and my sister played JMU field hockey What is your major/minor and why did you choose it? Geography with an Environmental Conservation Concentration because I love working for a better future for our physical world, and I ran out of Gen Ed classes What are your goals for the 2010 season? Become a better player, leader, and learn from my mistakes; my life goal is to NEVER GET ANOTHER CONCUSSION! What are your favorite things to do off the field? Play Innertube Water Polo!! What is your favorite JMU field hockey moment? Playing "Sporcle" on the way home from away games with Julie and Baillie [Assistant Coaches Munson and Versfeld]. Naming the all the capitals was a group effort, getting the states was the hardest for Baillie-I guess being from another country gives you a disadvantage What is the best class you have taken at JMU? GSCI 101 with Lynn Lucatorto (physics and general science) Where is your favorite place you have visited and where would you like to visit? Edenton, N.C. and Greece What is something that most people do not know about you? I have been skydiving and I was an extra on the T.V. show One Tree Hill.... What do you want to do after college? No clue, and that excites me...Kinda What is your most prized possession? My heart necklace Where is your favorite place to eat on campus at JMU? Top Dog- Panini's Do you have any unique talents? I like to name all the presidents. Yea weird, I know... What is the best advice you have received? "Don't let your worries get the best of you; remember, Moses started out as a basket case."... Remember God loves ya... It's more important to know what you think about yourself than to know what others think about you What advice would you give a prospective recruit? Consider different universities and make sure you feel you are in your comfort zone while you are there... oh and Chocolate chips make everything taste better What is your dream job? Anesthesiologist, Air Force Pilot, Archeologist What do you like about Harrisonburg? It has a city and five minutes later on is the countryside with beautiful mountains If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be? The cook at the White House: you get to see what is happening and eat great food.
