As a freshman: Named Second Team All-CAA and placed on CAA All-Rookie Team... VaSID Second Team All-State... finished first in JMU history in freshman assists with 12, four more than second place... finished tied for second in the CAA in assists with 12 and assists per game (0.60)... ranked 26th in the nation in assists per game... appeared in all twenty games for the Dukes... made freshman debut in the 1-0 win over Ohio State and recorded first career goal (game-winner)... recorded first career assist in the 3-2 win over Kent State... named CAA Rookie of the Week 8/31 and Womensfieldhockey.com honor roll 9/1... recorded assist in 2-1 win at Albany... recorded three assists in 8-1 win over Radford... assisted game-winning goal in 3-0 win over VCU then recorded three assists in same weekend against Richmond... moved her into first all-time in freshman assists with nine... recorded one assist each in the 2-1 win over W&M and the 2-1 loss to ODU to move her freshman assist record to 11... also recorded season-high three shots, all on goal, in 2-1 win over W&M... assisted only goal in 2-1 loss to Delaware in the CAA Tournament semifinal.
Before JMU: Played for Gijs Hessels Hockey Club Rotterdam... competed on national level in Holland, winning four outdoor hockey national championships (03-04, 04-05, 05-06, 06-07) and one indoor (04-05) with a runner-up finish in both indoor and outdoor in 2007-08.
Personal: Daughter of Marie Enne Brasser and Rob Konijnendijk... enjoys surfing, skiing, and sailing... also enjoys shopping.
Getting to know Vivienne...
Why did you choose JMU? Because of the great field hockey team, the offer of academics and the beautiful campus and environment.
What are your goals for this year? To do the best with the team and learn a lot of new things.
What is your major/minor and why did you choose it? Health Sciences, biology was my favorite class in high school.
What are your favorite things to do off the field? Shopping and going to the city. In the summer surfing is one of my favorite things to do and skiing in the winter.
What is your favorite field hockey moment? When we became Champion of Holland in 2007. I hope that there are a lot more to come.
Where is your favorite place you have visited and where would you like to visit? My favorite place in Holland is Kortgene, a small village on the lake. We went to Roma with school and it was great. This will be the first time I visit America and my expectations are huge!
What is something that most people do not know about you? In my heart I want to have long blond hair without curls.
What do you want to do after college? To work in a health possession, but I don’t know yet which.
What is your most prized possession? My driver’s license
Where is your favorite place to eat on the campus of JMU? Don’t know yet but I heard there is a Starbucks and I like coffee!
Do you have any unique talents? I always take too much luggage on a trip.
