High School: Led his squad to an 8-1 record, the Prep League championship and No. 10 overall ranking in Virginia his senior year... Also played basketball and ran indoor and outdoor track... Finished sixth in the state private school meet in the high jump and ninth in the 55-meter hurdles... Spent his first three years at Clayton (N.C.) High School.
Personal: Full name is Hunter Bryce Etheridge... Son of Rick and Wendy Etheridge... His father Rick played linebacker at NC State (1978-81) and helped the Wolfpack to the 1979 ACC Championship... Twin brother Ryan also plays football at JMU... Majoring in kinesiology.
