KiJon Gentry is in his first season with the James Madison football program in 2026, as he serves as Director of Football Nutrition.

In this role, he oversees athlete fueling station, body composition analysis, performance optimization, hydration strategies and supplement evaluation.

Gentry came to JMU in the summer of 2025, beginning his time with the Dukes as a sports nutrition fellow. Gentry additionally works with the golf programs at JMU.

Prior to JMU, Gentry earned experience at Duke and NC State.

Gentry graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nutrition sciences from NC State and later received a master’s degree in accelerated dietitian nutritionist from Meredith College.
